We cut various acrylic material up to 1/2″ in thickness, and our maximum cutting area is 18″ wide x 32″ In length. Laser Cutting Acrylic, Wood, Mylar, Plastics & More! Richmond, VA. We love cutting acrylic, wood, plastics, oil board, mylar and fabrics with our lasers. We have to do it quite often when building custom fixtures for various objects to engrave. When we laser etch a metal or acrylic part we scan the item and vector trace it, once the object has been scanned and traced we use the same file to cut out an exact pattern to which we can hold the object for align and engraving purposes. Laser Engraving & Cutting Acrylic is our forte.
Acrylic tags have become indispensable tools in the realm of electronics and data wiring, offering a versatile and effective solution for labeling various components. Their durability and versatility make them ideal for the demanding environments of data centers and electronic installations. Acrylic tags, often laser-engraved for clarity, provide a clear and permanent method of identification, ensuring that each cable, port, or device is accurately labeled.
Laser Engraving and Cutting Acrylic is our Favorite!
This meticulous labeling simplifies the intricate web of wires and equipment, making it easier to troubleshoot, reconfigure, or expand systems. Moreover, the transparent nature of acrylic tags allows for easy visibility without obstructing any indicator lights or important information on the labeled devices. Their resistance to wear, chemicals, and environmental factors ensures longevity, providing a reliable labeling solution that stands the test of time in the fast-paced and ever-changing landscape of electronics and data wiring
It is much more cost effective that going having a part “machined” out of metal. We laser-cut acrylic in 3/16″ thickness quite often and generally speaking we use Acrylite Brand acrylic – although the wax/brown paper is a little more durable than the plastic protective sheeting, it is much hard to remove and cut with a laser (especially because it contain pyrethrin). It’s also quite often when people request us to cut our random shapes of plywood, ply-board, cardboard, fabrics and acrylic. We laser-cut and engrave acrylics, wood, weird plastic, stainless steel, aluminum, leather, cardboard and so much more. Laser Engraving & Cutting Acrylic is something we take very seriously.
In regards to Laser Engraving and Cutting Acrylic we can laser-cut it up to 1/2″ in thickness depending on the density of the material and how intricate the design is. Not only do we laser-cut acrylic in various shapes but we can also screen print directly onto it. (see pictured right) We work with various shops and vendors all over the United States that supply various acrylic for particular projects that we run into.
